After Tom's mum is kidnapped by a dragon, he and his friends embark on a rescue mission that leads them through a mysterious portal and into the treacherous Arctic. There, they must defeat cunning enemies before facing off against the ancient dragon. But as the kittens unravel the threads of an ancient feud, they learn that there may be more at stake than they realise.
